The Lake is that indescribable hue between blue and green, this aquatic softness that soothes the impressive mountains of Switzerland. It is a tribute to this immensity so well framed by the architecture of Le Corbusier in the villa Le Lac that he built for his Mom in Corseaux. And besides, Le Lac, which lake? Léman? Neuchatel? The debate raged during the last Swiss watercolor coffee, and I let everyone see the color of THEIR lake:)
The Lake is part of the 2023 Christmas collection, “The Magic Mountain”.
This color was made with several pigments, including a white pigment that makes it slightly more opaque than our other shades.
